HELP!!!! problem after new tranny install.

ok guys i've encountered a problem. i just finished gettin' my new tranny installed in my '93 and drove it this past monday. now that same day i found out that the power steering reservoir was completely empty and all the fluid went into my water reservoir for the radiator. how the hell did all the power steering fluid leaked into my water reservoir??? i haven't driven the car since that day and i have no idea what the hell it is. so can any of u guys help me out onto thinkin' what it could be??? thanks in advance.

That's a neat trick.
Me thinks you were drunk.

Time to flush out the cooling system asap!

You do know that trans fluid and P.S. fluid are the same

umm...the 2 systems are not in any way connected, so the only way I know for that to happen was for someone to fill the water reservoir with PS fluid... have you had any other work done to it lately??

if you have an auto tranny its posible that your tranny fluid leaked into your radioator fluid because of a hole between the tranny coller and radiator. more than likely you need a new radiator and a tranny and collent flush

check your tranny for coolent because if there tranny fluid in your radiator theres bopund to be coolent in your tranny

ahhh....good point subs. could be tranny fluid and not PS fluid...doesn't explain why his PS reservoir is dry, but does explain the stuff in the reservoir..ouch.

OK, if you find out how that happened, please post pics, because like I said, those systems are not connected to each other. To me, I can't see how it's possible..???

ok found the problem. my coolant reservoir is sitting on top of the 2 pipe lines of the P.S. and some how the top line has a tiny hole that opened up and managed to get into the coolant reservoir from under it. the tranny fluid is ok and so is the radiator. so im gonna fix that today but now i gotta get a new reservoir thats going to be hard to find for my car cuz most maximas in the junkyards are not equipped with the ABS unit and it has a big a$$ reservoir and my maxima has a small one but it was relocated and is equipped with the ABS unit. ill try and take pics of this but thanks again guys for helping me out.

Y are you replacing the reservoir?
Just clean it real good and reseal it if it's broken.
Use Dawn to wash it.
and Plastic cement to repair it.
