84 VG30ET = 392# according to z31.com's archives. so... it could be a bit less since we don't have the turbo and such.

I always try to add a weight buffer.
AND does z31 specify if that is loaded or not? (with alt, starter, FI, rail , intake, exhaust manifolds, oil pan, valve covers, ETC.)
accesories make alot of the weight of a motor

you also need to add in the weight of the crate as well

i believe the weight was from a factory nissan book.
