Car alarm keeps going off

I just picked up my 94 GXE it had a dead battery and when we tried to jump it the car alarm would go off, me and my father finally got it started without the alarm going off but now if a door gets opened, even if the car is running the alarm goes off. Can't search so I'm asking you guys if anyone know what's up.

Cool I really don't need the alarm anyways but, I am concerned about what may have cuased it to go haywire. Could there be a short or someting somewhere that may affect other systems in my car. Is there anyone here I should talk to that is knowledgeable about the security system or the eletrical stuff alltogher

well, our cars are old and the alarm is worked by the locks not a key fob. As the locks get worn the alarm will think that someone is breaking in to your car and when you open the door they go off. The only way that I was able to be sure that my alarm was not going to go off was if I double unlocked the door. If all the doors unlocked on the second trun then home free, if only the drivers door then I would go to the passingers door and do the same. I ended up only opening the car from the passingers door for months since it was the only one that would work... As for the low battery thing that may have been enough to fool the alarm in itself.

If I were you I would save myself the headaches and go ahead and disconnect it now anyway. It will only **** you off in short time when you least expect it.

Ya your probally right. Thanks for all the help. I just have one more question if that's cool. I read somewhere on here that you can find your door keypad code somewhere under your dash. I took a look but didn't see anything. Where should I be focusing my attention?

I just found mine recently thanks to the great help on this forum.

Lie down on ur back facing up on the passenger side.

Look all the way to ur left, ur gonna see a little white sticker with nubmers and stuff on it. Its way to the left of the glove box.

The 7 digit number thats starts with an S is the master code that you need to use to re-program a new key code. The isntructions to do it are in ur manual, if u dunt got it,

Press start, type in the 7 digit code.
You will hear a continuous beep after that, then enter in ur 4-6 digit code.
wait till it stops beeping and thats it.
