Man I hate this happened to you guys. I saw it coming...especially when others were defending him. I knew it wouldnt work out...sorry I have seen the signs too many times.

I am still here to help if some of you guys are able to get at least the unfinished pipes from him (little piggie) I will weld them for you at only shipping cost back. I doubt that you will even get that much though.

Live and learn guys. This is probably not the last time you get ripped off. Just be glad its a small amount of money.

also remember what goes around comes around...trust me on this one.

at this point in time i briefly spoke with my lawyer, however i havent been home much ive been at hospitals and hospices, emergency rooms and such my uncles time is near and he will leave us soon i fear. however he may have one last shot with a specialist so im crossin my fingers guys. wednesday is the appt. neway when i spoke with him in order for this to actually be worth the time he would need all the reciepts and documentation stating that these transactions took place, however john could say that he knows nothing about this ect... then the court has to prove he was the one at the computer taking this money, hence my point i brought up that the money from paypal had to go to some account right ? so that would link john right there ! however im too busy at the moment to deal with this so hopefully my uncle gets better or just lets himself go to a happier place but until then im SWAMPED !

btw my ebay cai will be here friday ! thank god. way i look at it 160 bucks isnt much money at all compared to my grandfathers 1.2 mil heart surgery and my uncle who may lose the most expensive thing of all..............................................l ife.

well i was talking to shawn about it and he said that he forgot to ask john when he went down a little while ago. gas money for shawn is 60-70 round trip i believe. i would pay whatever it take to get these out. an extra $20 or $30 for gas and shipping is not going to break me. at this point i can not get my money back from paypal or credit card. i just want my cai.

on another note, nick, i am sorry to hear about what you are going through. i hope everything works out for the better.

1st time i'm reading this...few observations.

1 - NEVER buy a mod if your check book can't afford it...if you're dying for $ to put food on the table don't buy mods.
2 - It's great that at least some of the members tried to help...i didn't buy a CAI..but thanks on behalf of the other people since they were too POed to say it.
3 - Lawyers? for $160 loss? good luck guys..it's a federal crime now since it spans multiple states. anyone get $ back from that MEVI scam?
4 - from the ebay pics...these pipes don't see too hard to make c'mon guys get creative!...(no i'm not doing them..don't even think about it...i got too many things already going on)

wooowoooo you made it over here, sweet!

Thanks for the words DanNY.

Those plates or whatever they are we're probably his mom's, but that is rather surprising to see them having the same problem.

I'm glad that it's your first time looking at this because your observations are a bit false. We thanked the members multiple times regardless of how POed we were. Secondly the lawyer is provided by Nick since it's his mother's cousin. And last, they are hard enough for us to pay 150 for since we don't have the time nor the resources to make them.

Yes, we have all thanked those who have helped. The issue is that we didn't write checks we couldn't afford, it is the fact that a well known person on this board (who was vouched for by other well known people) took our money and isn't doing anything to get our products to us.

if you thanked the people then that comment wasn't referring to YOU now does it?

right...the lawyer is provided by Nick..all i can say is the best of luck. MEVI were going for $400+ from roadbeef back in the day...a few thousands were taken from members i think that guy still has the money. you might be too new to go back that far.

anyone else makes this CAI or is piggie the ONLY person selling these? yes i know warpspeed is backed up..but are they the only ones?

yup i totally understand that the bottom line is someone said they will make u something for $..and never delivered. it seems like a few was very hard up for the $150/160 and complaining about it...(not referring to u reygarcia).

man you guys can't read between the lines at all.

Roadbeast lived in the Middle East (Bahrain maybe) which made it a little more difficult for the authorities to do anything. As far as I can tell, littlepiglet still lives in Washington state.

you have to remember that is for a VE only...I saw you reply to someone the other day and they had a VG (you may not have looked at his car type below his name).

VGs are totally different (as you know) but they have a cheap alternative too by using the accord intake on ebay.

if you can find the right ones a cai for a 90-93 accord will fit a 89-91 maxima. i am sending out the 45 bucks for mine. i think i have an old k&n cone i can put on ( i have the k&n recharging kit to clean it) in place of the ebay special filter.

Has ANYTHING come of this? I know some of the Wa guys were down in Or recently.

I can make some of this stuff but I really don't want to compete with some of that ebay stuff either. I just made a ve midpipe and I could make more.

VE cai of my own design I could make too. Same with the VG cais. But it's a pain to make the maf adaptors. And I would only use a K&N filter which aren't cheap. Or you guys could source your own 3" filters and maf adaptors.

nope and I haven't talked to John since about the last time I posted in this thread.

John was at the Woodburn drags (towards the end of the day), but didn't race. Just came give parts to Sarin. Anton and I didn't know he was going to be there. I figured with his car down he wasn't going to go, but his mom let him borrow her car.

As Shawn mentioned, I made two for the hell of it. It's not difficult but they take a good amount of time and only come out so-so. What Shawn fails to describe(as usual ) is that these things are not that expensive to buy somewhere else. So I have a hard time justifing making them. You know what will happen. I'll make 10 or so, charge $25-$30 or whatever, then some yahoo comes in and says "you can get them cheaper from fleabay for $xx). Now I get stuck with 10 paperweights. I'm sorta like that right now with these Cobra rotor BBK brackets. Everybody that said they were interested (so I had some more made), have backed out.

If I find an easier way to make these, I'll chime in again. If someone is in a big bind, I'll consider making them one. I know you ordered one from piggie and never received it??

I get 3" pipe scrapes that would be perfect for the coupler connection. It's making the flange that's a pain. Welding it is also a small pain, but that's mostly my lack of skill. haha

Yeah, I never received the one I order from John. I've been searching and so far, Cattman makes one, but it's 40 bucks, a bit steep for me. The one I ordered off of ebay was crap, it didn't fit. Nice paperweight though But I can see where you're going, sucks to have stuff made and ready to sell, but get shot down by someone saying there's a similar product that's cheaper elsewhere.

Tell you what, if I get bored enough or if Shawn wants to help sometime, I'll make another for ya and just charge shipping. How's that?

Most of these little things are just welding excercises for me so I can get more cutting/fabbing/welding skills under my belt. Don't want to jump into my "vroom pssshhh" project too green ya know? heh.

Plus if I can help 1 -2 guys out of this crap of a situation, well that's a plus also.

Are the MAF adapters for a ve and a vg the same? If so I can probably make some if people are interested in buying them. They would be made from aluminum and TIG welded,I guess I could make them from steel and paint them,I guess it owudl be up to the buyer almost,I know my own will be made from aluminum.Any other things that coudl be made that woudl be very useful? as for a price I woudl have to see how much materials would cost me.I was thinking in the $25-30 american including shipping (in the us) and porbably give canucks liek ymself a better deal since shipping owudlnt be as much.
