change idle???
recently, the idle on my max has gone way down. it used to idle at about 900-1000 rpms. but now its down to about 500 and the engine seems to spudder a little. we tried adjusting the actual cable in the engine but that didnt work. after talking to a nissan mechanic, i was told the ecu controls the idle speed. so does anyone know how to adjust it, or is this something only nissan can do? (i searched the manual a million times and found nothing on how to adjust idle).

is it usually idling at 900-1000 when cold, xoz my gxe idles at 750-760 when warm, and when in drive it goes o 500. i just had a problem with shuddering coz i bought some cheap gas, its fixed coz i went and got shell gas. chck injectors and spark plugs, your cap and rotor too

normal idle = 750 rpm.
the little screw on the right side of the ECU should be all the way anti-clockwise . thats the factory setting. did somebody adjust/increase the idle speed?
idle is also effected by the condition of your air filter, fuel filter, IACV and a few other things. start with the basics.

i know when its cold it idles high, usually around 2k rpms. when warm though it shoots down to 500, and gets a bit unstable. and it never did that before. only until recently when i put the stock airbox back on! could this have messed somethin up? i always use premium gas and the injectors are clean so i know its not one of those. input is appreciated. thanks! =)

i took off my stock airbox and then replaced it, the car started to idle funky, i thought it was either the maf or the gas since id just filled up, turns out it was the gas, i filled up with shell, and the problem is gone.
id say try the deally on the ecu, just be careful. it may be the maf if that doesnt work
