Search function not working for me

I'm trying to use the search to look up info in advancing timing. But it keeps telling me I don't have access to that function
So, can one of you help this newbie and post a link or tell me why the search won't work?
TIA,
Matt

btw,
Here's my other car:

No one told me I had to donate!?
So if I haven't donated, I have to bother members with my dumb questions instead of looking them up myself?

theres a distributer on the left front of your engine theres a 12 or 14mm bolt and the bottom of it you loosen and then turn the whole diributer left or right i cant remember which way advances since i dont have your engine but if you have a timing light youll be able to figure it out

Thanks!
I should've been more specific I guess. I'm actually wondering how far you guys are advancing it without detonation. Are you switching to premium gas when you do it?
I have a timing light, etc., I'm just not sure how far to advance it.
My Miata responded well to 14* btdc, and stock is 10* btdc.
Thanks again,
Matt
