Frenched Antenna Pictures

Small mod, I used the stock antenna which wasn't easy because of the angle it mounts at. I used 1.5" exhaust pipe for the tube. Let me know what you think.

nice work... but won't rain/debris collect in that hole? I cant really see how deep it is but it looks possible that stuff could collect in there..

This is sooo totally off-topic, but do you have your amp or something mounted on your trunk lid? Looks like there were speaker wires or something running up the trunk bracket...

Does this add about 15 hp!! LOL But on a serious note that is an incredible job and the first max I have seen like that. I was going to shave off my antenna. I might be a follower an add some more taste to the max. Such hard decisions!!!

Thanks again guys.

The stock antenna already has a drain on it which just drains moisture that gets in though the antenna. I had this same mod done on the front fender of my 86 Chevy S10 and I never had problems with water gathering up there or rust, so I guess I'll just see.

Now I just have my front bumper to worry about then I think I am done body mods. The plan is to get all the bodywork and have the car painted by February. Then I'll be putting a lot of work into the interior and stereo. And lowering and putting my wheels back on.

Oh and I have 2 180 watt PG amps mounted on the trunk lid, check my www to see it all.

Good job. Its not my style (I like no hole at all LOL) but it is original (several have shaved antennas now...me being one of them, but none have frenched I dont think) and looks great.

I always like to look at custom body work...whether simple or wild.
