Digital Dash??

Well this digital dash has never worked but is there a way i can fix this to get this thing to work again like it did when it rolled out of the factory back in 1990, yeah we bought this car in 1990 and we are either the first or second owners of this car and i dont think my parents ever had this digital dash working i think it quit like a year later.

It would be awsome if we could get this damn thing to work again and oh yeah my parents spent $800-900 on a new digital dash at a local Nissan dealer 7 years ago and my father asked if they could switch it over to analog they simply said no it is not possible since you have to swap out the whole harness, so that is out of question at this point.

Now that i have found this kickin forum i thought i would ask you guys since you know probably more about these great 3rd gens then i do since im a newbie. hehe

Any help will be a great as i would love to know how fast im going although the accurate mileage on this car is now long gone and history sadly.

Thanks in advance for all the help, Ryan

You can have em rebuilt.
A good stereo repair shop can do it or you can probably have one of the org members do it for you

I don't know if either one can fix it, but try talking to Jeff92SE (he's a moderator) or MrGone. I don't know about Jeff, but MrGone is on vacation till the end of the week. They are both near Seattle.

The digital harness has 4 connectors, the analog has 3. But I swapped the Digital for the SE analog, the only problem is the fuel guage as the GXE sending unit sends a larger resistance range compared to the SE.
You can do it if you have some electrical skills.
