Heres the story. If you dont know already, I got my auto converted to a 5-speed about 3 weeks ago and everything has been fine till tonight. Well I was getting on a ramp off the beltway and I went to downshift into 2nd and all the sudden I heard a clank and all my gears went out. So I coated off to the side of the on ramp. It was at 10 nat night and I didnt have a flashlight so I really couldnt check things out. I thought that it might be the linkage so I looked under the car but it wasnt hanging or anything. It did sound like something fell off my car when it happend though. If any of you guys know what my problem is I would deffinitely appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Can someone please give a few oppinions of what this could be before I tear the tranny out of the car. I was thinking that it might be a broken clutch fork. I'm sure that someone has experienced this problem before with thier Max or other car. I want to get an idea of what to look for before I drop the tranny. Thanks

I know you're looking for a more detail reply, but

It sounds as if you're gonna have to drop the gear box, especially if there's no obvious external problems like linkage, slave cylinder, broken fork, etc. Good luck
