Power window problem...not regulator
Power window problem...not regulator
My power windows worked fine after I replaced the regulators. Then I removed the tint from the front windows using warm soapy water and a razor. Ever since, the driver's master switch will lower all windows but will not raise any of them except the driver's. The individual switches work fine.
I've taken out the master switch and cleaned it and re-soldered some of the joints. What else could be the problem?
Thanks.

Thanks, I cleaned it again tonight, but I forgot to test it out since I was also fixing my headlight switch...at least my high beam works now
I should have replaced it with the one from my wrecked car knowing that something else in this car would go wrong.

I have this exact same problem!!!! my master switch will lower all windows.. but only raise the front driver side... individual switches work fine.. except the front passenger side sometimes wont raise it.. ghostmax have u figured out the problem?? cuz this is definately getting on my nerves! i've taken apart the master switch assembly and checked all the wires.. the voltage on the switch board is a little strange.. but i still don't know whats causing the problem.. ghostmax.. anybody... help?!?!?!!
are you serious?? oh man.. mine are still not working.. im guessing its the main control switch on the driver side.. but to replace that will run about 200+ cdn before taxes.. and im kind of iffy since im not even sure if thats the problem

mattysmax,
the problem is the master window switch. i went to one of the yards here and found a brand new switch! it still has all the white lettering on it, and the auto down works too. got it for $20. and a door lock timer too ($20). good day.
good luck with yours, but i'm like 99% sure that's the problem.
