Power window problem...not regulator

My power windows worked fine after I replaced the regulators. Then I removed the tint from the front windows using warm soapy water and a razor. Ever since, the driver's master switch will lower all windows but will not raise any of them except the driver's. The individual switches work fine.

I've taken out the master switch and cleaned it and re-soldered some of the joints. What else could be the problem?

Thanks.

I'd think that the master switch as given up the ghost (no pun intended) on you, IMO. If there was someone close by to you that owns a 3rd gen, I'd say slap that puppy in THEIR car and see if it works for starters.

I'd check to make sure all the feed wires are working.
Both ground and power.

Try some lube along the window path. I have used Lithium spray...but whatever u use make sure that it won't eat the Rubber. Maybe the residual junk from the tint has fouled it.

Thanks, I cleaned it again tonight, but I forgot to test it out since I was also fixing my headlight switch...at least my high beam works now

I should have replaced it with the one from my wrecked car knowing that something else in this car would go wrong.

mattysmax,

the problem is the master window switch. i went to one of the yards here and found a brand new switch! it still has all the white lettering on it, and the auto down works too. got it for $20. and a door lock timer too ($20). good day.

good luck with yours, but i'm like 99% sure that's the problem.
