driverside window problem

The temperature in New York has been dropping to 14 degree, and my driverside power window starts acting weird these days. The power window rolls up and down very very slowly. All other 3 windows are OK. I heard that 3rd generation Maxima has a problem at the window regulator. How do I know if it's the problem of the regulator or it just needs lube.
Also, I got a very bad luck yesterday. My car's side mirror and driverside door was hit. Couldn't find out who hit my car since my car was parked at a meter.. When I picked up my car, nobody was there. There is a minor dent on the door, and the sidemirror itself is working normally, but the plastic cover is cracked.. Can I just replace the plastic cover of the sidemirror or I have to buy the entire sidemirror unit?

Thanks,

Stephen

you can always take the door panel off and lube the track with some grease. it's probably the regulator though.

i've seen the mirrors only as a unit. chances are people won't want to sell just the plastic part.

Lube the window/window track with silicon spray or teflon sliding spray from ACE hardware.

$45 or $55 depending on which one you need.
I've got the 2 rears in my own car and I've sold another to some else on the org before.
They fit and function perfectly.
and save you a couple of bucks too.
