Tail lights and dash problem
Within the past month the fuse for my tail lights and dash board have been popping randomly. I would replace the fuse an then it would work fine for a couple of weeks. Now its gotten to the point to I can't even turn my tail lights on with out popping the fuse. I was wonder if the anyone has ever heard of the switch going bad? Any body got any Ideas what it could be?

the wiring for the tailights might have a bad ground or melted harness. but it's also possible as you said that the switch/relay is malfunctioning. to narrow it down, check the wiring at the tailights first.
goodluck.

common problem. Affects dash lights, cornering lights, rear running lights. Commonly due to corner rewiring jobs, aftermarket stereos, a bad dash switch or most commonly due to melted rear tail light sockets or wiring. Are you stock or any mods? Check the rear lamp sockets and bulbs first.

check out my website, it shows what stuff is controlled by each fuse
try unplugging each piece (stereo, cornering lights, taillights, whatever else might be on the same fuse) and turning the car on. Keep doing that until you find something that doesn't blow a fuse when it's unplugged and you'll probably find what's causing it, unless it's in the wiring up to one of those things

like they said before, taillight sockets corroding and melting are a very common problem on these cars. I had a similar problem and you could barely tell any difference looking at the wires but it caused the fuse to blow. I was able to just fix it by wrapping those wires in the taiilight socket with some electrical tape
