MaXtuned's dyno explaination?????
I know that the 3rd gen 4th gear in a manual (maxtuned) is only a .95x:1, so isnt he getting short changed when he dynos cause his gearing isnt 1:1? More or less, his dyno number is losing about 5%, which would be a little more than 10hp? Food for thought

Seeing as how a dyno is an acceleramator, hp is calculated from the acceleration of the rollers. Doesn't this mean that the computer would need to know the gear ratio seeing as how it would accelerate faster in a lower gear (not 1:1), or even a higher one??

Nope. The software in the machine accounts for speed. Plus the timing attachment that allows it to detect the RPM of the motor allows it to calculate the gear ratios in the software, and account for all the other stuff too (temperature, altitude, etc).
