havent seen to many lowered max's. Pics would be appreciated and the type of springs that you use. oh yea.. ive noticed that many people throw on the 4th gen 16 inch rims on their 3rds, anyone got any close ups on what the tire looks like, and pics of 17's close up's (any type rims, doesnt matter)

With springs, be sure to get good shocks, otherwise your ride will be all bouncy. Many here like the GR-2's or the Tokico's.

dont forget it's makes a deal where u live!!! NYC not the best place to drop or any area with alot of snow or pot holes the size of mars if your max is a dailey driver!!

I'm 1/2 way done installing my Tokico/Eibach combo. I didnt really want to lower it, but I wanted the sportier ride so I had to lower it.

When I was inquiring about new shocks for our Durango I was less than impressed with their customer service/knowledge. Maybe they've changed or maybe they just didn't know much about our Durango, but they weren't exactly jumping up trying to help.

I would have already bought them from 4wheelparts wholesale, but then Brian came along, and I'm waiting for him to setup an Edelbrock account.

besides, if I were you, I'd stop trying to read up on shocks and read up on recovery techniques when your stuck

 

I was not driving. The Durango has much better off-road handling characteristics than the Xterra did only cause he has stupid tires. But the Durango has way more power.

Any one have a lowered Max and drive it in the snow? How well does it handle/ drive?

 

My 90 SE, which i lowered 2 inches with Sprint Springs. And use as a daily driving car in Erie, PA. Which we usually get about 15 feet of snow a year. I'll tell ya my car sucks ever since i dropped it, and i have gotten stuck 6 times this winter, but when the road conditions are good, i don't think there is another maxima around Erie that can handle corners like my car.
