Audio systems

Any audio system questions? I love to talk about car audio!
Please just ask. I am not yet an expert on the Maximas, but I
know a thing or two about audio, electrical systems, and
mechanicals in general.

Why not just get rid of the bose system and get some cheap ebay speakers for the moment and probably a cheap ebay amp. That is what I did and everything surprisingly sounds good. The only speakers that work in my car are the $25 OZ Extreme 6.5" speakers that are in my rear deck. It sounds good and I just picked up a $35 amp to power them for the bass. I also bought an adapter for my HU so I won't have to cut any wires on my car and that worked out well too. No complaints I luv ebay.

i can tell you why it cuts out like a short, the conversion, takes away amperage to turn on the amp, so it starts to randomly short out. you need to take the HU out and take the solid blue amp wire from the back of the HU and attach the solid blue / amp turn on wire from you wiring harness which you have plugged in to the OEM connectors and have it skip the conversion so the amps get full turn on power again. Depending on which conversion it is, then you will have to have to add the conversion amp turn on in also so the conversion can get power. then it should be back to normal. also if you let me kno what kinda conversion they put in, maybe take a pic of it an e@mail it to me, i can probably make it sound good again. these conversion kits are easy to mess up and make sound like sh*&. If any of this confuses you let me kno and i will draw it up for you or ill pull my HU and take a pic of what i mean. (****Please check your color coding because sometimes it varies, like blue with a white stripe, etc. i say solid blue because thats what mine was***)

these conversions are junk, unless you kno how to tweek it
