I have a 4th gen but I recently learned that some of the 3rd gens had a heads up display...does anyone here have one? Do you like it? Also, does anyone have a wiring diagram for it? I'm thinking of adapting it to my car. Thanks!

 

i got it on my max...its very convient, especially on the highway doin highspeed......

Yep, I've got one on my '89 GXE. I think they were an option for the '89-'91 GXE's, and they only came with the digital speedo cluster.

It is nice, but I'm not sure about converting it to another car... I bet it works off a plug from the dash cluster.

 

It is run by the microcontroller inside the digital dash. There is an 8 wire harness going from the dash to the HUD. I think you'd need the main portion of the digital dash to make it work.

 

Mine is not working I own a 89 GLE and during the winter season it never turns on until its warm. I loose everything the HUD and Speedo. Always have to contend to filling up the gas tank since I don't know how much gas is left. So screwry, anybody know how to fix it?
