Fuel filter replacement

I really hate to do this, but i can't search, so i will pose the question... Does anyone have a link or wants to tell me where it is and how to replace the fuel filter? I think that is why i am getting such sh!##y gas mileage.... Thank you in advance for any help or suggestions!!!

It is located on the firewall next to the brake booster. You need to releave the fuel pressure befor removing. To do that remove the gas cap. Remove it from clip, take off hoses, replace with new. Pay attention to which way the arrow points on old one and new!!

This probably will not solve fuel consumption problem though.......

Next to the brake booster on the left side if your standing in front of the car. It's not hard to change. I did mine today but be careful. You have to let out all of the fuel pressure and you have to have a pan to catch whatever fuel is left in then lines. There will be fuel spillage !! It takes about 10-15 minutes if you know what your doing. Just make sure you don't drop the clips that hold the lines on to the filter. They have these metal pieces inside them that can come out and I dropped two of them. Luckily, I found them under the car. It's a easy DIY job and it should help MPG a lil bit but not drastically.

Yeah but if you had the clamps on tight they're a b*tch to get off so it takes about another 5 to get them loose but your right it's about 5 mins.

you could check and replace some if those fuel lines as long as you have the fuel pressure released...if you want to spend the time of course.

removing the gas cap may not do the trick

remove the fuel pump fuse, run car til it dies, try to start car several times, that should clear out the fuel lines for you (recommended by FSM)

Yeah... you can try that gas cap trick all you want. But I guaran-darn-tee ya you'll get a face full of fuel.

Read the FSM, knock yourself out, move to the next window!

Removing the gas cap only depressurizes the tank, not the lines
