Trunk latch....i think it broke?

Trunk latch....i think it broke?
i think i broke my trunk latch. possibly the cable broke off? any way to fix it? ill post pics soon. ill take apart the seats. and stuff n take pics of em. thanx again

do you mean hood latch ...?
i'm not sure about '89 but isn't there an electric trunk lock ?

no the 89 has a pull trunk latch it is two in one gas lever and trunk lever. mine dont work! but try messing with the safety switch in the trunk
