I think my window is possessed!
Well, a few days ago I got into my car & started her up. Was driving out of my house & I could hear sumthing. Looked over to the passenger side & seeing the window rolling down all by itself. I used my switch to roll it back up, but she started rolling back down again. It was raining that day, so I had to use the window lock button to stop it from rolling down again. Is it my regulator gone bad? Is it easy to fix or replace? Don't really have lots of money to fix this right now, but if its easy to do, I will do it myself. Thanks guys

if its rolling down (using the motor) then it wouldn't be the regulator but if its just falling down (no motor involved) then it would be the regulator. most likely it will be the regulator so just grab one of those and you'll be good.

Yeah, its rolling down with the motor. I can roll it back up with my door switch. So, not too sure if its the regulator.
Hey, I thought the possess comment would be funny

hmm... yeah, its possessed.
only thing i can think of would be to check your wiring. my brother's 240 did that and it turned out to be the automatic roll down button was somehow stuck on so my dad disabled it however since you're in NZ the automatic feature is probably only on the right side.

I put my money on regulator as well. Two of my windows were doing that too when I bought the car.....just a slow, lazy drop while on the road. The regulators were completely stripped.
Here in the US, they cost $39 each from 1aauto.com which is where I bought mine from. If you can't find one there in NZ, let me know if you want me to ship it.
And yeah, it is an easy job as long as you feel comfortable taking the door panel off. I did three on my car in about an hour and fifteen.

it wouldn't be the regulator since its the actually motor that's rolling it down. if it just falls down without the motor moving it then i'd agree that it is the regulator but in his case its not. there has to be faulty wiring or the switch is acting up. if its the switch it could simply be corrosion.

could be the main switch on the driver door too. If you can roll it up with the switch on drivers side its probably that switch shorting. If you try to roll down the window on the pass side and the driver tries to roll it up the window will stop where it is. If you hear the motor rolling it down check the switch.

Sorta found out what it is, not the regulator, its the switch on the passenger side door. I turned off my stereo & heard this high pitch sound coming from the switch itself. It will roll the window up, but I think its stuck towards the down position. Will have to look at on my day off, been raining like crazy down here & came home to find my kitchen flooded. Gotta take care of that first. Will let u guys know what I find out.
