Interior Light Sizes...

I need to know 3 sizes of lights.

I need to know the size of the lights that go into the "A/T" switch, which has the words POWER and CRUISE on it. I need the sizes of the 2 lights in there, because one of those brown light thingys fell out.

And the 2nd light I need is the cigg lighter ring/ashtry light. I think they're both the same size.

3rd, what sizes are the lights in the a/c controls?

Does anybody know where to get those small little light covers that they put on?

Thanks guys and gals.

change of plans. thought it would be better this way.
go to a radio shack and get the ones with the part number 272-1092. these will work for your a/c controls along with all the dash switches.

the ashtray uses bulb size 74. but i have noticed that the new 74 bulbs are a little too long. haven't been able to find the right size.

can't find where to get the little green condoms either. i tried radio shack, no luck.

Sup All...

Just replaced all the lights in the a/c control unit. I did have a little luck in finding the mini-condoms to cover these lights. The covers are about $1.50 per 10-pack, but you might have to pay like $6 to get them shipped to you. You can get them online from partsexpress.com. I am not getting the green covers, I opted for the blue's.

The part number for the green covers are 070-082 . I did a cross reference with Radio Shack/partsexpress to make sure these are the correct size.

Good Luck!

the A/T bulb should be the same as the rest of them, radio shack p/n 272-1092. i don't have an automatic so i don't know.

dareaper9 - how dark do you think that blue will be? if it is a light blue, then the cover will only act as a filter producing a white/whiteish color. let me know how that works out for you.

Alright....I'm here.

A/T switch bulbs can be had from your Nissan dealer. I broke filament on one of mine when I yanked out the panel to replace radio. Went to the local dealer. He had a whole box of misc. Nissan bulbs. I picked one that looked like the right size. Though it turned out to be a bit longer than needed, the base was the same size so it fit just fine. In fact, it is brighter now as the bulb is closer to the surface!

BTW, I paid nothing for it! Dealer had too many bulbs thrown around, so he just gave me one!

Yea...You have to be the lucky person to walk through the door @ a dealership and they give you crap. Most won't entertain that thought.

reygarcia, those blue covers appear to be pretty dark. I changed my speedo lights from that nasty green to blue, and also my shifter light. All of my interior lights are blue except for the climate control lights. I have a neon blue as my dome light, blue's in the door also. Those green mini-condoms weren't that dark, and it gave off a pretty strong green color. I will be sure to let you know how it turns out.

The A/T switch lights are the same as in the climate control, mirror defroster, etc.

Good Luck all...And keep me posted!

By any chance is it possible to get a light color change from that light that is behind the radio (when din mask is off). I saw a green tube back there. I want that to be red. Would that make my climate back lights turn red (if it isn't pressed down)? I want red interior lights to match my new HU? What is the size of that light?

Sup Evil...I think the part number is 070-086, I think. That's a shame when I ordered the blue's and don't even know the part #. I am away from home on business, and don't have the sticky note in front of me. It might be quicker just to go out to the website, partsexpress.com, and type in light covers in the search box. It will automatically pop up.

Let me know how it goes!

Good Luck...

I saw a couple of you guys with different color instrument panels. What does it take to change these, bulb wise (don't need explaination of how to remove). What colors do they come in and where did they come from?

What's wrong with a little bit of eBay. Of course the shipping would be faster if you use paypal.
