Dual Exaust on any Maxima's?
My car would smoke your car hands down no problem and EVERYONE on this forum knows it too:

0wn3Ded w00t!
btw, that Venom crap probably causes you to loose power, because tricking the ECU about the TPS position sure as hell isnt going to get you any power gains.

Psubird83 .... how many miles does your tired 1990 vg motor have? is that 215 hp the same rating that sony explod gives their head units for power ratings. that 15-17 watts rms doesnt equal the 52 watts and your 160hp (at crank brand new)with simple mods don't equal 215(isn't that a bi-ch).
heck if this is true, my 66 pontiac GTO with 333hp 445tq would now become 410hp 530tq(that would be pretty cool)

If it was a Mopar it would
hehehhe
Alllllllrighty, I am new to this forum, but I AINT new to high powered motors. I am willing to compleatly tear this guy appart on WHY he doesnt have 215hp and why he THINKS he can beat any max around him.
You wanna talk power? I got 900 ponies (at the crank) on my Dakota. You wanna know how much I had to put into that thing to get it there and how impossible it would be to mistake it for stock when looking under the hood? First off, your gonna need a custom computer, I do all my computer calibration myself, no smart buisness would dare get as crazy on calibration as I do, and I doubt this guy even has a ECU upgrade. Next, there is no CHANCE your gonna be able to put down an extra 55HP (thats 35% more power than stock) without an exhaust (which he's saying he has not done yet) cold air intake of SOME kind, and more than likely an intake manifold tweakin. Now, that is assuming this guy is not jokeing around in asking about his dual exhaust setup, if he isnt, than he doesnt know the real tricks in HP. Now, given enough money (and effort) I could easily get a goooooood 300 HP out of one of them VG motors without anyone being able to see anything new under the hood. It is called Stock Eliminator class in the NHRA and IHRA, we do it all the time. Just massage a little here, tweak a little there, and do that ALLLLLLL OVER THE MOTOR. Thing is, no one with that knowledge would do it for someone with that little knowledge of cars.
OK, anyway, I am done ranting, my maxima is my daily driver for the winter, if you wanna make power, do some research and find some experts!

Venom Spec's, don't forget about the flowmaster Exaust, plus ignition sytem up grade
Improving horsepower by as much as 25% through the range of approximately 1,000 -5,000 RPM. The Venom400 is OBD II compatible. Besides substantial increase of torque, the Venom400 reduces the flat spots or delay timing during sudden accelerations.
Incorporated into the Venom400 is an 8-bit micro-controller that is capable of monitoring the various sensor inputs and modifying their outputs at more than 40 times per second.
If you already have another performance prom installed not to worry the venom400 is a mid range performance chip and the prom chip is a wide open throttle application thus complementing each other through the entire RPM band.
The Venom400 has an on/off switch so smog certification is possible without detection of unit. Easy installation with basic hand tools requiring only four electrical connections.
Loss of gas mileage to be expected is 1-3 miles per gallon in fuel economy.
No significant damage or long term stress side effects in long and short range
testing.

I already stated yesterday that i wasn't putting out 215, but it has to be pretty close to 200, may not be at the rear wheels, may be off the crank but still this car pretty fast, through the mid range, where most maxima's lack in greatly.
Nice copy and paste from their site!
Man, if you REALLY have one of these, you just got ripped off BIGTIME.
OBDII!?!?! Man, that's nice. TOO BAD 3-GENS ARE OBDI! hehe
Think about this, how in the hell is FOUR ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS going to give you 40hp over stock???? hahahahahha.

buddy I bet a stock VE auto will toast you, stop braggin here, there are people here who will call you out on everything, so if you dont have something to prove it just drop it, you are not making anything close to 200 to the crank, I doubt your even close to the 160 that the car came with. my car is fully modded with a new engine and I doubt I would dyno over 200 and my car comes 190 stock. you think you can pull the wool over our eyes? weve been here long before you and we will be here long after, people like you come and go.

Hey im not trying to tick anyone off. Im just stating the ovious plus what the mods do give. If the car doesn't have the HP, then I was lied to about the Mods, and it might just be at the crank in which case, my car is still pretty fast

Ah rice math anyone??
You would be lucky if your car still put out the original 160hp at the crank.

thats the point Ive been trying to make the car and motor are over 14 years old, they have lost some hp over time, even with those mods and their hp gains on the high side I doubt you have regained that power or have gone past it. with thats said lets just put this to an end and get back to the subject.
PsuBird is just trying to get attention by being an idiot. Just forget about it and send him some pics of a dual exhaust so his Maxima VG can go up to "350hp at the rear wheels"
Hey Psubird, about a big cup of SHUT THE HELL UP!!!

Ah what? I've seen it. He's posted pics. He's just doesn't want to go to the trouble for you. At least he's not claiming he got 55 more hp with a venom pos and an intake.
