Gas Door/Lever

Hello. Has anyone ever broke this?

Mine was getting worse and worse and then last week I tried to open it and it finally broke . . . they told me there is sometimes a master switch in the trunk somewhere do our cars have this feature?

Also has anyone else ever had this happen . . . what did you do to fix this?

What do you mean by it broke. My lever, is missing the plastic housing, because it broke off, I assume with the last owner.

Before the winter, I only had to pull mine up a little way, but it was pretty hard to do that. Then when I went to get gas it froze up and and I pulled and pulled...now I have to pull it way up, but it's not hard like it used to be...I don't know what to do.

jus letting you guys know, the same might happen to your trunk lever. mine is broken. i have NO access to my trunk. my key dont even go in the trunk. what me n my brother thought what happened is this: the trunk cable snapped off and must be attached but this time even more tight. at the same time we will reinforce the gas lever cable as well. we at new york are just waiting for the weather to get a lil bit more warm and nice. as soon as we do it (probably in 2 weeks). we will definetly take pics and probably come up with the best set of written instructions that we can supply. wish us luck. Thanx..

The FSM barely touches upon replacing the cable and had no useful info IMHO.
So you are just gonna have to get creative.
Find where the cable broke and repair it
