have had one for a month or so now . Got in on the group deal that got these things produced.

nice quality but the upper screw is in the track. I will probably fill the hole and mount it a different way.

i actually put mine over the stock pillar cover and it seemed to fit much better than trying to put it on there by itself.

me too, fit much better that way and now i can still snap the whole thing on and off, without un-screwing anything.

i think www.edoperformance.com has a quite a few gauges. unless you have lots of mods or something not really much else to have a gauge for. things i could think of would be oil pressure, voltage, might be some auto tranny oil temperature gauges out there but i'm not sure, a/f, egr. if you aren't planning on modding much i would personally get oil pressure (since there's just the idiot light on there), possibly the voltage meter (since there's none as well), and the tranny temp gauge if one is made.

Check out the Autometer Phantom series, they match stock the best.

Auto, you could go with trans temp, oil pressure, volts, oil temp, coolant temp, air/fuel. Really it doesn't make too much of a difference, but if I was auto I'd look into the tranny temp just incase.

I hate to say it, but search for the air fuel hook up there was a thread a month or so ago where we outlined the whole thing. Maybe we can add it to the FAQ's. The guage piggybacks the stock O2 sensor, but you can buy one from Autometer if you want (or if the car doesn't have one..... mainly for older cars).

Also try to buy from the guys who have extra's. Some people bought spares so that the minimum requirement would be met and they could be made. Matt93SE probably has his spare one still, and if he sold it, KLoWnPr109 is selling his too.

Hey guys. Long time no talk. Sorry about the way the top screw runs in the track but I was pretty much told there would be no fitment issues with and when I tried on my max it fit fine so I dont know why they put that top screw where they put it. I hope everyone is happy with them. If the top screw is that much of a problem maybe I should call them back up and have them fix but let me know what you guys want to do about it. I'm still waiting for someone to get some gauges in there and get a good picture up! Well keep up the modding fellas and remember if you guys are in the orlando area shoot me an email at kevincleff@aol.com

Air/Fuel gauges that taps into your stock narrowband o2 sensor signal DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I call it a really cool ricer light show. A voltmeter tapped into the signal can show more than an AF gauge.

If you are really interested in your AF ratio, then you can go the cheap way out and get an EGT gauge or do what I did for my ECU tuning project:

http://www.plxdevices.com/onlinestore_domestic.htm

That's right. Your very own wideband o2 sensor that tells you what your exact AF ratio is at any given time on a digital display. Much cheaper than spending hours on the dyno. With my tuning software, I am able to datalog the figures, which is the entire reason I got it.

If you have an automatic, then tranny temp is a very nice thing to have, especially in the summer time. 90% of tranny failures are due to heat.

I highly recommend a coolant temp gauge. Your motor's performance is highly dependant on the temp. Take it from me, a serious bracket racer.

Oil pressure gauge is always nice to have. Just to keep an eye on things. But I've never really used mine since my oil pressure is always pretty good.

When I had battery/altenator problems, I REALLY wish I had a volt gauge. Those can come in handy too believe it or not.

holy crap! i didn't know you could get wide band sensors for that cheap. i may pick one up very soon. can a normal a/f gauge tap into the wide band sensor and read them correctly or do i need to buy a special gauge?

A normal AF gauge won't be able to give you accurate readings if you tap into the wideband signal. This kit comes with a digital display. I believe there are companies out there that make an analog wideband o2 sensor gauge. But I prefer digital since you can easily tell the difference between 12.8 and 12.7:1 AFR.

One thing that is nice about the Autometer A/F is you know when its going into closed loop and such, just kind of fun.

so the digital gauge on that website will actually show the afr or just a voltage? looks like it shows afr from the picture but it so small i can't really tell.

It recieves a particular voltage from the wideband o2 sensor. And since the display is also a "controller", then it converts that voltage to a number you can read. So the numbers you'll see are something like this, "12.78", "13.51", etc. So it's the actual AFR. Isn't that awesome? It makes this SO much better than paying those outrageous dyno prices.

And hopefully soon, I will have a new feature in this Zemulator that allows me to use my front wheel speed sensor to do street dyno runs. I know it works for the rear wheel speed sensor on z32s, I just hope it works on my car. It should.

No problem. You REALLY need one of those. It's not too expensive and you'll know exactly what your AFR is at all times. I haven't figured out a place to mount the display. But right now, I just crammed it inbetween my Ebrake and passenger seat.

it looks pretty small so i'd probably sit it on the top of the gauge cluster or on top of the steering wheel so i can quickly look at it if need be.

I'd have to say it's 2.5" wide, 7/8" tall, and 4" deep. I tried to sit it above my clock on my dash, but I can't get it to stay with even the strongest velcro I could find. The velcro held of course, but the sticky part of it wont' stick to the dash. I washed all the armor all clean too.

I'm sure you could stick it on the steering wheel somehow if you come up with a way to make it stay.
