Best price on UR UDP
Good news, bad news. Bad news is my crank oil seal is leaking. Good news is it's a perfect time to put on a UDP! Going to order it and the dealership will put it on when they replace the oil seal. The other bad news is my water pump needs replaced too. The other good news is the leaking tranny fluid is only the axle seal and not the axle. Who carries the UR UDP's for best price. Probably pay out the nose from Stillen, but I have to order brake pads from them anyway. Please let me know what it costs and from where. Thanks!
Courtesy sells them too I think for $190 without the belts. The summit racing at http://www.aspracing.com are not made by Unorthodox. I don't know if there's a difference, but I think I would stick with UR. That's gonna be my next mod.
Oh no I'm not
Got a reply from UR that they don't make a UDP for the VE30DE motor. Theirs is only for the VG30E. Said it may be out in the future, but I'm not getting this thing taken apart twice. Talk about having your bubble burst.

Go to http://www.aspracing.com . I just got an email from them saying that they don't make it for the VG, only for the VE (for around $120 or so). Apparently too, they make their products in house, which I'm not sure is a good thing or not. Anyways, good luck.

An under drive pulley is a smaller, lighter pulley that goes on the front of the motor, at the bottom. Connects to where the crank shaft comes throught the front of the engine block. Because it is smaller and lighter (1.5-2lbs compared to 8-9lbs for the stock piece) it takes less inertial energy to turn, thus putting more of the power to the wheels. The major boost comes from the fact that the smaller size turns the accessories (a/c, power steering pump and alternator) at a slower speed, also putting more power to the wheels. Installation seems to have a significant increase in difficulty for automatic transmission models unless you have an air tool to remove the stock pulley. My dealer will install it since my crank oil seal needs replaced anyway.
