tranny noise question

I changed my oil today and used the Toyo filter. After about two minutes of letting the car run I could hear the VTC noise fade away and stay gone. That's sweet since mine clack all the time.

Anywho, I took it for a lil drive with the radio off to just listen to the engine and see how much the vtcs click after the new filter. I heard a new humming type noise when I accelerated from standstill.

I found that after i was moving pretty good and put it in N, I could wiggle the shifter around and it would affect the way the humming sounded. So its DEF something with the tranny. When I slow down using the brake w/ the clutch in the noise will diminish to silence when I stop.

Anyone have any ideas? Maybe I need new/more tranny fluid? I dont know how to check the level so that's why I'm posting. TIA!
