If the car is not receiving good spark it can and usually will use more fuel because of improper combustion

Hi,

so if we replace the Distributer cap and coil will that stop the problem of fuel consumption?

There are many things that can cause excess fuel consumption . Weak Compression , leaky injectors, bad O2 sensors , Bad spark , Clogged convertors , Bad T-stat , Engine Timing , Dirty Air filter , Fuel Pressure ect ect ect

u know i've tried that already. so far i've replaced the spark plugs and wires, distributor cap and rotor, cleaned the a/f. now i gotta check all other stuff and see what the hell is wrong with my car cuz it feels like its misfiring and when i changed the plugs i saw the spark plug in cylinder #4 came out black and i was told that its running rich. i'll keep on working on it cuz its really comsumin' alot of gas.
