Okay, I am still having problems with my car. I would like to borrow or possibly buy a MAF to see if it fixes my car. I know I am somewhat new on the org and don't know if anyone is willing to either let me borrow a maf or buy one for cheap, or possibly even meet somewhere so I can swap the MAF just for a test drive. Just respond to the thread or PM me. Any help that you guys can give me is greatly appreciated. I need to get my car fixed soon because I was beat off the line by a Pontiac Aztec the other day because my max is running so bad. So it is an urgent matter, and getting beat by that nasty looking thing is a HUGE dent in my max pride. Symptoms are:running a little lean, popping/pinging noise from exhaust manifold, and hesitation. I read a thread started about 23 pages back posted by "D-sta" and his symptoms seem similar to mine.

 

BTW, if you are near McHenry or Elgin, IL and can meet somewhere to swap MAF's for a run or sell me one quick, call me at 847-476-2532. I would be willing to run out tonight to try it out.

I've got a parts car that has a good MAF. I'm up in Gurnee. I really haven't started parting other than little stuff for my own use, I was going to start after I got back from London on the 4th. I guess I can start any time... Let me know.

 

So you get back on the fourth? Have you left yet? I need to try this other MAF from another org member to see if that is what my problem is and then I will PM or email you or however you want me to contact you. I really hope that this is the problem with my car and I am confident that it will solve the problem. How much are you asking for the MAF? How many miles on it? Post here if you want or PM me. Thanks.
