hack the hell out of the stock brackets, use something to bolt lights to the housings, I was going to make some type of slider system so you could adjust them, but it was going to be too much of a PITA, lol.

Gen doesn't matter, dude. Just get e36. They are all the same. The euro spec ones are just a little bigger.

The Euro Ellipsoid Projectors look the best IMO. Plus, they have glass housings like the stock headlights, so they won't yellow and fog 5 years down the road, or get rock pitting in them.

In what way are the Euro spec ones bigger? Are they taller? That would be nice because I know the gap kind of looks funny up close beside the corner lights.

Yeah my car had 208,000 on the odometer but it was probabaly more like 500,000+ the way it was driven. Its been through both my brothers and me. Had about 5 or 6 clutch replacements. lol But anyways, about the lights, they are E36 from a 92-99? 3 series. There is a link to purchase them on that geocities sight I sent you or you can find some projectors on procarparts.com. I heard they are a bit harder to install but I think they would be worth the wait. They look great. Take a look at brad92se He has a super clean install of the projectors.

How long do you think this install will take for a first timer?

Yeah, they are both taller and deeper. There are no gaps with the lights, but you also cannot use the factory headlight bracket.

For me, it took a few days to get the first light fitted properly and to figure out how to mount it. The second light was finished in one day because I had an idea of where to cut. Its really not too hard or complicated, just very time consuming.
