Ebay maxima parts, opinions needed pls...

I recently bought an 89 max that I absolutely fell in love with... It's in perfect condition as an old guy owned it and kept it mint!! It was meant to just be a daily comuter for work but then I discovered this site now I got the bug...

I'm trying to bargain shop a bit and I found alot on ebay but first I'd like to get some feedback from any members who may have purchased any of this stuff. It all looks pretty much the same but is there certain ones to stay away from??

Heres a couple of things I was lookin at:
Clear Corners http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2468717725

Halo Guages http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2468560704

FSTB http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2468527292

I will need a muffler soon so does anyone know anything about this muffler or if it will fit a stock max pipe??
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2467939354

Is any of this stuff worth the money or is it best to just get it from custommaxima.com and pay a little more coin??

Thanks for your input and keep up the great work on this site!

I have the same FSTB for my car and it works fine, though mine is for a 5th gen (fits VE).

If I were buying the muffler, I would probably and spend more money on something of better quality.

I've seen the those gauges and they look good.

Personally, I am not a fan of clear corners and I have heard that the ebay ones aren't very well made, but that's not my call since I don't own them.

I also recommend an aftermarket y-pipe. Probably the best mod I have done. I know they are kind of expensive (apx $200) but it really seems to help.

Definitely stay away from ebay MAF adapters/filters. I don't know how that full CAI kit is. I think AWSM66 got it, so ask him.

Good luck with your car.

Yeah, the clear corners aren't the greatest quality but for only $20 or so they are decent. I like the smoked clear corners. awsm66 does the smoke job for $20 or so IIRC. I have a dual 3"-3.5" tip muffler on my car right now I could sell you. I could get you some pics and also some sound clips of it if you would like. I'd be willing to sell it for $35+shipping. The strut bar I'm not sure about but I haven't heard anything bad about them. But for $12 you can't really beat that. I liked the look of the halo gauges when I first saw them but I had the reverse indiglo's which I liked a lot. Its up to you though, your car. Good luck man

old clear corner on the 89 were great, except they were grey( I PAINTED THEM BLACK) and came with the harness and plugs. and the ones on the 93 suck, but what do you expect of 17 bucks( no harness or plugs, lines arent straight. either way they are a big improvement from the stock ones

I have eBay Clear corners and they look great and I had no installation problems. I've had them for atleast 4 months now and they are still holding up. If you check on my webpage I believe it's page number three. You can see where I had tinted them. I like the look.

I have both the FSTB and it works exceptionally well for the price it was, also i bought the ebay clear corners and they were fine went in perfectly, and there is nothing wrong again a good bargian. As for a muffler I have a magnaflow, and it sounds very good and thats what I would recommend. The gauges would be a vast improvement over the stock black ones.

Definately buy an FSTB, they are fairly cheap and worth every cent! As for the muffler, I would have to also recommend a magnaflow. They sound nice and deep, not ricey at all.
