Sisters car dying....

I checked my sisters car, scrubbed off the battery terminals, checked the radiator hose to make sure it was flexible, and also tested the resistance on the injectors (she thinks they might be giving her problems). they were all 14-15ohms, but the end injector was facing a different direction. They rotate... I thought this might be the problem (running a little rough, having a hard time), but when I started it up, was even worse... idle was loopy, you could give it gas, but right afterwards, as it came back to normal the car would almost sputter and die. I replaced a vaccuum hose near it that was hard as a rock, and that helped a tiny bit, but when she drives in stop-and-go ,it sometimes dies..

off hand, what would you guess? most likely injector seals at this point.. or injectors. injector cleaner didn't help..

Her car could be a maxima... (or likely a early 90's volvo), but the basic engine problems should be diagnosable, right?
