Tinting the rear trunk reflector?

Tinting the rear trunk reflector?
Has anyone ever tried this? To tint the red part of the rear trunk reflector to make it a darkish red instead of the bright as hell red that it currently is?
I know someone here tinted their corner lights using very light coats of spraypaint or something? Could the same be applied to the reflector?
Or perhaps there is a type of tinting tape that can be cut out and applied to the reflector? Of course it would have to be weatherproof.
Any ideas on how it could be done? Anyone ever tried it?

well just get a SE center section and be done with it.
I dont use light coats of spray paint to tint corners LOL if it is me you are talking about.
I use actual automotive clear just like is used on the car and I tint it with automotive tinting paint and spray it with a spray gun.
the same can be done with the center section too.
Although it would be easier to just get an SE center section.

lol that's what I meant
Also, you can't just get an 89-91 SE center piece, you would need the tail lights too because it wouldn't match up with the stock GXE tails(they changed the style - the clear/silver line on the bottom of the tails/reflector is larger than the old SE tails/reflector which had a very thin clear/silver line)
Anyway I just thought it may look cool to have a dark red center piece.

yeah thats what I meant. jaguax believe me I know the difference between the models but I was saying get an SE center section of whatever year you have not from different years.
The only thing is that the 89-91SE is gray instead of red so if you want it red then yeah you would have to do the 92-94 center and tails.
