spark plug gap

what do you gap the plugs to on a ve engine. also what would happen if you over torqued them a little.

If you overtorqued them a bit too much, it wouldn't really hurt anything. If you overtorqued them WAY too much, you could probably strip the threads out and that would cost some major $$$ to fix.

Also if you overtorque them it is possible to crack the ceramic insulator. But I kinda doubt you really overtorqued them. I've been using a torque wrench on mine when installing them, and its WAY tighter than what I used to do. The torque spec is around 12 ft-lbs. Its actually important that the plugs are torqued porperly, a loose plug will not dissapate heat they way it was designed to, and if too tight (well you already know after the last responses you got).
