I raced a 95 legend coupe 6 sp. GS (230 hp)at the street races a while back. It pulled on me like I pull on modded Accords, and I have the VE engine. There was no question, but I take pride in the fact that he had a $15,000 car and I had a $6,000 car......

It all depends whether he is GS or not GS = 230 HP; not = 200HP... Is it an automatic or stick? and you got maybe 185 HP with your mods??!? I give you 8 for your CAI, 13 for your Y, and maybe another 4 for the cat back if that(the stock catback flows pretty decent)... Do you have 5sp or Auto? In any case I think you are toast. If you want to run with me sometime we could see how your VG with mods compares to my stock VE with cone filter. I think I can easily take any of the non-GS legends....

Sorry bud, the Legend will most likely smoke you. And if it has mods, for sure.

ran against a 92 legend and it was pretty even. both were 5spds. it was cool cause we were the same year. anyway, dude, in my opinion, you'll get smoked. They're pretty quick. actually, they're damn quick. my aunt's 98 GS will toast GT mustangs. :0)

i pretty much have the same mods as you ngthing and i get smoke every dam time i race my friend micheal's lengend. its a blue coupe, i dont know if it is a gs but he told me it has a 3.2 liter 220 or so hp engine. he stock also and his is an auto. hes only been the track once and he ran a high 15's and low 16's. i can get him off the line until we hit 30 or 40, by then, he pulls on me dam hard. i have driven their cars. i will say maximas have alot more torque but their top ends are killer. yeah, better not race him unless you are curious to see what his tail lights look like.

Hi people, I'm new to this board and I own both The Maxima and a Legend.
Actually all 93-95 Legend Coupes came with the 230HP engine which is called the TypeII engine, the 94-95 Legend GS sedan had the TypeII also.
My 94 Legend LS sedan has the TypeI 200HP engine, IMO it's a slug. My stock 93 Maxima SE can kick my Legend's butt. But the TypeII Legend is a different story.
Anyway, I say race your friend and find out.
