clock dimming

Hello everyone,
Lately the clock in my 90 SE dims or appears non existent..after awhile, it does come on...any suggestions as to how to fix ?

Dimming Clock

I have the same problem w/ my 92 SE. Any solutions or do I just buy a new one from Nissan?

i heard it was a problem with the soldering joints. take it apart and check all the joints and then fix any broken ones.
