Where's my armrest?!

I've been noticing in different maxes, there are different armrest...some more betterer than others...what gives!
Here's an example of what mine is like (not my max, and hard to see)

(very thin, and uncomfortable)
And here's the other kind I've seen in max's (out of red92maxse's max)

(very plush, looks way betterer)
How can I get one...I was in an old 90 GXE the other day and it looked to me like it was an extension of the smaller armrest, as if mine was ripped off?
Anyone have one they'd be willing to give up?
( Beige please! )

They changed to the larger size armrest in 92. 89-91 had the small ones like you have.

Can I get a larger one? They look comfy.
But I was in a '90 GXE the other day (confirmed by the owners manual) with a blue interior and it had a large armrest...hmmm

DUDE!!!!! that first pic..... that is the exact same door panels and leather my Black maxima had, except for it was black. My white one has the same leather, but different door panels (just flat, no rasied part).

I think the 89-91's had the lower arm rest, then the 92-94's have the raise one. I think the 92-94 GXE's have the smaller arm rest, but I'm not sure.

I have a 90 GXE with the big plush, I took apart the thing, and notice that it just a big plush over the small thin one.

Ok I dont know whats up with the big plush over the small one but the 92-94 (all...gxe included) have the big armrest. The ones I have are one big piece and not a large on on top of a smaller one...I took my cover off to put on my Katzkin leather cover so I know for a fact its just one big cushion.

I assume the other is an add on from the dealer for the older cars.

You can take the large armrest off of a 92-94 and put it on yours. There are 2 screws and a c clip that needs to be removed for the swap.

My 94 Se 5 spd. hade the small center consol lid, and my 92 SE has the big one. Maybe its a 5 spd/auto difference. but then again... when i took out my ecu in my 94 i seen a piece of tan carpet under it. This striked me as weird because the rest of the carpet in the car was black. So maybe the center consol was from a diff. car. hell who knows Very very unsure about that cars history. glad i got rid of it

my black 92SE 5spd had the big one in tan (sorry DMad8724 its in cloth).. My white 92SE 5spd has a leather interior and has the little one... and my 94SE 5spd with grey cloth has the big one... I assume that the reason my white one had the small one was that someone broke the original and got one from an 89-91.

Ninty if you're willing to part with that tan one...I'd take it, that first pic isnt my interior...it's just one of the similiar color, I have a tan cloth interior...hook me up with that armrest!
