my brother has a 90 se and it wont start. he said he was driving and the car started to lose power. by the second light it completely died. now the car just cranks but wont turn over. he also said it almost ran for like 2secs before it shut down. he checked the fuel pressure and hoses everything intact. anybody have any suggestions. thank you.

well you might want to check to see if it has spark first if it does check fuel pressure and spray some flamable substance down the throtllebody when hes turning it over if it pops or starts for a second then you have a fuel problem if not you have a spark problem also check the compression maybe the motors dead

well it definitley has fuel pressure and a spark but doesn't seem strong.
i will try to spray some starter fluid and see if that turns it over and if not probably start at the distributor. i dont know do these computers throw codes.

You said the spark doesn't seem strong, have you checked the coil for proper resistance yet?
