VGDETT is to wide, but you could do a VG30ET and add a second turbo somewhere....

Other idea is to go 4 banger turbo from a Silvia or get a skyline motor....that'd require mount fabricating and possibly a different tranny, but would definitely be unique.

Realistically the easiest would be the VGET and just relocate the turbo, uprgrade the turbo to a larger unit...piping...whatnot...

This has been hashed out many many times....check the stickies above in the forum...

Talk to mark cookson MTCOOKSON is his org-name he'll probably post on this subject, he did the swap, i think he used an american VG30ET out of a single turbo 300zx, but i could be mistaken.

Specs should be similar, i believe he was thinking about getting 200+ out of it more toward 220 with the stock turbo, but might not be there yet?

Thats about all i know about that at the moment, since i have the VE motor.

Later,

Brian

yeah, vg30et is your best bet for a swap since the blocks are identical. i used the jdm vg30et which i believe came out of the gloria. its supposed to have euro cams which add 10 hp more over the 300zx engine for a total of about 215. torque should be around the 240 ft. lb. range.

i took mine to get it dynoed but had trouble keeping the intake pipe on since i turned the boost up a little bit. my friends and i thought we saw the computer read 210 at one point which isn't too bad. the most i've seen out of one of these engines was about 500 rwhp on a 300zx so these things have a lot of potential.
