Muffler finally on Good&Bad - pic inside

heh finally got my muffler in.. its a dual tip 3A racing that just BARELY fits in the exhaust hole for the body it... it actually rubs up against hte side of the body kit... which led to the spot where it touches the body kit to have the paint burned off it ... oh well i knew something like this was bound to happen... i just fear the day the paint starts to chip causin my whole bumper to start flaking away

but it sounds nice not ricey at all and a nice lil growl for the VG30

Rhino lining isn't made for heat and would probably melt too, and make a nasty smell. I havn't done any painting myself but I'd think that you could use some heat resistant paint, like they use on motors and stuff.

you could always rivit aluminum around the opening and then paint it to match the bumper

What about using brake caliper paint? i think that it is supposed to be resistant up to 500 degrees

Or you can always take it back let them cut and re-weld the muffler in a better position. Those are pretty big muffler tips, even when centered properly the clearance still going to be close (but shouldn't touch)
