Pacesetter headers installed

Finally got the headers installed! There is less of a gain than i expected, though it is a little better than stock. It was definately not worth the price of the headers plus installation cost. it has a bit of a different sound, a little more throaty than it was before. By the way, the old y-pipe that was on there only had 11,000 miles when it was removed, so if anyone is interested let me know, i'll sell it for cheap. i also have the manifolds, but they probably arent worth anything. overall, i give it thumbs down, mostly for the price...if it were cheaper it might be worth it.

No dyno, in fact i dont even know where to get that done around here. as far as the y-pipe, it's an OEM pipe for the vg in great condition, and in fact i even have the paperwork to prove it's got 11,000 miles on it. if anyone has AIM, message me on MirapolisNT and ask about it, i'll get back to you if i'm not there. I was thinking 50 bucks + whatever shipping is for it. i'll get a pic of it for anyone who is seriously interested.

Yea any another max fan that has pacesetter...it definatly gives you a much throaty sound,75-100 is a breeze, only downside is that my wheel rattles like a son of a gun... does yours do the same?

Yeah i got going 100 today and it seems the gain was more up at that speed. Do you mean your steering wheel rattles? mine has never rattled, but it seems now that in reverse, something under the hood is rattling a little. it's not all the time, but when i give it gas in reverse it seems like something isnt quite in place. hopefully soon i can get some money together and get a new muffler, the stock one just isnt cutting it now. same with the cat. im glad i got the headers out of the way, though i wish it cost less. how much did you pay to have yours put on?

It's probably your y-pipe rubbing the front sway bar....my VG used to do that.
