ECU blues.......has anyone else had these symptoms?

I just put the JWT ECU on my max today. As soon as i took it for a spin i noticed that it was a little more balzy than usual. But as i drove on, the car started to hesitate REAL BAD and the rpm's started to jump up and down. I would let off the gas for a while, and then step on it again, and then it would be ok. then i started to drive some more and it stated to do it again, at different parts of the power band. I was like WTF!!!! I took it back to Stillen and they said that it's a learning computer (this i know), and they said it has to relearn parts of the power band all over again.
Well, i drove it home and it still does it; just not as bad as when i first drove it. So i ask you guys, has any of this happened to you when you guys upgraded your ECU on your Automatic maximas?

is it the ECU from your Auto maxima?
Eitherway it shouldn't make a difference.

I've never heard of that, maybe Maximized27 or Jeff will comment on it.

That's weird, maybe it's not the ECU. I've had the same problem and mine is still stock. Hasn't done it in a while though.

well, when i'm giving it full throttle, it runs just like you've descibed it above. other than that, it runs like ***; at a complete stop and just driving it normally.

well, before I left stillen, i put the stock ECU back on and the car ran great. a bit more sluggish; now that the power was gone, but the car ran great as it always did. I put the JWT ECU back on; same problem returned. It's gotta be the ECU; but i've never heard of a maxima rejecting a modified ECU. And I've owned two other maximas prior to this one and I did the ECU upgrade to them also and I never had a problem.

thats why you should send me a JWT ECU...because i dont happen to have the money for one.
as far as mods go, i have lots of custom stuff in addition to every bolt on, except the ECU is $600 i just dont have at the moment.

dont take this the wrong way, i'm just joking around with ya, unless of course you're willing to actually buy me an ECU.

edit: bring the ECU back to stillen and ask them why its not running correctly. they SHOULD have a warrenty and i'm sure they wont have a problem taking a little extra time to figure out the problem. they call it customer service, if they dont agree then ask to speak to the manager, and eventually steve himself..haha

that's actually what I was trying to do on Fri. when I bought the dam thing. They told me to just drive it over the weekend and it would get better. Now it's actually the opposite, it just gets worse and worse. Between sputtering down the road, to stalling at stoplights (how do you stall in an automatic? ); anyway, they told me that if it's still acting up, to just bring it back on monday; which I plan to do. I don't know how much more frustration I can take!!!!

its very obviuos the ECU they gave you is bad and causing the hesitation it has nothing to do with your max rejecting it, if anything it would reject your max

take it back and see if they can reprogram your current ECU since you know its good
