Maf

I've heard one of the reasons that a MAF can go bad is oil/carbon/whatever coating the sensing wire. I've also heard it can be cleaned. Can anyone confirm and tell me how?

I've cleaned one using rubbing alcohol and q-tips before.

Cool! I think I'll try it. Knowing my luck I'll touch it and the wire will snap! Thanks.
