A Few Quick ECU Questions
Today I went to check my ecu for codes, and I turn the diagnostic screw all the way clockwise and nothing flashes. I played around with it a little and managed to get what I believe was a 55 code, 5 long red flashes and 5 short red flashes. It appears there is one other mode other than the one I was in, in which the red light stayed on constantly. This was all done with the key in the on position. On my old max (90 gxe) there were two lights (red and green) and they flashed together to designate a mode, and there were 5 different modes. On this car I can only see one led in the window. Is this how all VE 5-spd ecu's are, or is mine just not working properly? Thanks!
In short, on my ecu there are no flashes to designate a mode when the screw is turned clockwise, and only one led lights up when turned counter-clockwise.

In My manual 5 long and 5 short is described as "No malfunction in the above circuits", in other words nothing wrong , no codes.
