Can someone tell me how to disable that irritating seatbelt warning light and signal? Mine seems to have a mind of its own, going off randomly.

Mine does this too, I am trying to figure out if it is the sensor or the seatbelt controller.

Probably the sensor inside where the seat belt clips in

if you want to kill the chime completely you can just unplug it. its on the back of the gauge cluster

i removed the magnet from the seatbelt clip on the doorframe and it doesnt randomly chime anymore

the light remains on a little longer after startup but turns off after a few minutes and hasn't chimed since

the only hard part is getting the thing open, the bolts are torx with that little tab in the middle

Edit: now that i think about it you could probly put a piece of electrical tape over the magnet so it doesnt trip the sensor

Take it to your local dealership for a free fix. There is a lifetime warranty on the safety restraint system.

When I unplug the clip under the seat mine stops making noise. Only pull the clip for the seatbelt warning & not the power seats (If you have power seats).
