Since we're on the subject of springs...

Intrax vs. Sprint anyone? I'm looking at the Sprints really seriously right now vs. the Eibach Pros because I think I'm going to want more of a drop than the Eibachs will give me, but I was curious as to anyone that has any experience with Sprints as to how they ride vs. the other springs we can put on our cars. Thanks in advance!

BTW --> I found a seller on eBay that's selling a S/T (Springtech) Sprint package deal... A complete set of struts/shocks/springs for 3rd&4th Gen Maximas for $285.00. Sounds interesting, but I've never heard of SpringTech before. Anybody here know anything about them???

I'll post the link if anyone's interested...

It's 1.7 in the front and 1.5 in the rear.

mis-information strikes again. Re-read what Chris posted. It is 1.75 all the way around not 1.7 front 1.5 rear or the other way around.

I have sprint springs on my 92 nissan maxima . So , Now I am putting another one into 93 maxima but wasn't sure how low it will go. Personally , I think 1.75 isnt low enough for me so I wud rather go after sprint springs for my 93 ( or maybe I should cut off the springs about .25 more) Thanks Chris.

take a look at my sig or Chris' sig and pics on his page. That isnt low enough for you? IMO the Intrax springs usually sit lower than sprints. Its hard to tell though because with Intrax all of the drops look the same but with sprint they are all over the place. Some are slammed and some look like an old hot rod with the butt up in the air. I think the quality is 10x better on the Intrax than sprints. Thats my opinion and I am sticking to it LOL.

Here is Intrax/Koni (Set to full stiffness) in the front...

Here is Intrax/Koni (Set to full stiffness) in the back, with some weight from 2 stock 15" wheels and tires in the trunk and 2 on the back seat. (Approximately 150lbs)

nah, go check internetautomart's suspension section...it clearly states that intrax is 1.7 front and 1.5 rear. anyway, whats the difference in handling between sprints and intrax?

That is strange , Internetautomart's website ( suspension section ) has been made a statement that the intrax springs as for the rear 1.5 and the front is 1.7

Lowering Springs:
Priced per set of 4
B&G : 1.6" drop 62.1.004 $174
Suspension Techniques: 1.5" drop 60175 $174
EEibach Pro-kit: 1.2" drop 6311.140 $230
Sprint: 1.8" drop coixsmaxim8994 $150
Intrax: 1.7" front 1.5" rear $200

I just got my Intrax springs delivered to me yesterday. Some websites tell you 1.7 front and 1.5 rear, but on the Intrax site it says 1.75 all the way around.

Intrax are progressive so the ride is going to be better and they will adjust with your driving...Sprints are linear and the ride will be the same all the time, it will also be pretty harsh on certain roads. Intrax are PLENTY low enough, any lower and you will have problems. IMO: Intrax are the best spring on the market for what I am looking to do.

I noticed that yesterday. They changed it too. I remember clearly when I was doing all my research (and I did a LOT of research before I bought mine) that they were listed as 1.75 on their site. I guess they changed the way they list them.

It doesnt matter...they may be listed as 1.7 but in the real world they are lower than sprints 9 times out of 10 and sprints are supposed to be 1.8.

GReDdyXMaXiMa and HotAzzMax do a little more research instead of taking one vendors word for it and basically telling me (who has done the research and own the springs) that I am wrong. Why didn't you take Summit racing's word for it where they state its 1.75 f & r. Or why didn't you go to Intrax's site and look it up there.

hasnt anyone heard of google?

No question asked.

i've got the intrax springs with new kyb struts, excellent look to the drop, i can barely fit 1-2 fingers in there. if i were to do it again i'd stay with the intrax springs and get tokico struts.

Wouldn't ride quality depend on the struts as well?

Well , I gotta to say that I agree with awsm66 and craig about the intrax springs. Today , finally I installed the intrax spring with oem struts anyways Intrax sits more LOW than sprint springs from what I see cuz my 92 maroon isnt that low as my 93 beige maxima. I just finished installed the intrax springs about ten minutes ago at 1:30 am INTRAX rulez.

One more thing , What would you recommend me to get the tires for 17s ? As right now I have 235/45/17 which it is kinda too big for the car and it rubs on the metal.

see...I am not one to say I told you so but...LOL.

as far as tires go. the tires you have are closest to the factory size but if you can step down to a 225/45 you will be fine. I have the 225/45 and I dont think the speedometer is too far off.
