Cattman doesn't make headers for the VE. But yes, I've considered headers. They would need to be custom made. They won't help in bracket racing, but they may help me get faster in the 1/4 mile.

Thanks again everybody for all your votes. I hope you can keep it up.

Find a custom exhaust shop and have them make you some 3 step or whatever they were called (I forgot) headers. They make the most power

But I wonder if they can make headers that can work with my WSP Ypipe. I doubt it. I mean... I'm sure they can make it, but it won't be beneficial. What do you mean by 3 step?

I forget the technical name, but basically you start out at the diameter that matches the port, use that for ~6" or so, then bump it up to the next size or two, go for maybe ~8" then go to the next size up or two and take that to the collector.

Sizes/lengths are dependant on the engine and engine configuration, it is not cheap but you can gain lots of power. You would probably not be able to keep the WSP though.

Way to go Aaron! I've been travelling for the past two days. My lappy is still with me, though, so I will continue to vote whenever I come across a hotspot somewhere.

Yeah, so it funnels down and it's like a velocity stack maybe. OR.. does it get bigger as is goes away from the heads? Scavenging effect is something to look into with headers. At some point, it actually SUCKS the exhaust out of the tailpipe. That didnt' sound right. lol Whatever.

Thanks again Seyath for helping out so much. Chuck, usman, thank you. And I know there have been a LOT of people that have voted but not posted anything. Here's a "thank you" for those people.

Thanks again. That Silverado truck is really worrying me. This morning before I left for work, I had 226 votes. Now, after work 9 hours later, I am at 235. This Silverado guy went from 115 to 137 in the same amount of time. He is REALLY closing the gap fast. I know he is a huge part of forums around the internet. So I bet he's posting in a big forum just like I did. So at the moment, it's Maxima.org against his Silverado or Chevy forum. If he keeps this up, which I know he will, he will really catch me by the end of the month.

I think I am going to have to expand to the General forum. But I am going to take a two week vacation coming soon and it will last until the end of this month. So I won't be online to keep the thread going. Maybe you 3rd gen guys can help a brotha out. Thanks again.

*edit*

I just started a thread about this in the General Forum. I hope that some of you guys can keep this thread going while I'm on vacation from May 17th to June 1st. I will try my best to keep checking back in on my friend's computers, but it will be hard. Thank you SO much once again. Oh yeah, here's the thread:

I love how its says Nissan Maxima, and 286 votes, right under it is a chevy, under that a chevy and under that a chevy and under that a mercedes. Most of the other cars get under 100 votes. We can just make about anything get to the top. oh, and voted for you again.
