Raced an SHO...and won!

I've heard these cars are kinda fast, and good competition for the Maxima, but here's my run in from last Friday night...enjoy
I was driving about 70 mph on a four lane highway (two lanes each direction), very light traffic. Coming into the highway from the on-ramp, was a mid 90's style SHO (from before the bubble style Taurus). It had all the ugly decals, racing stripes, etc. As I saw him merge, my palms began to sweat, as I haven't raced since getting the CAI and y-pipe, so I was excited to approach him. At this point we were at about 50 mph, I pull along side of him, me in the left lane, and look over, he acknowleges me, looks at the Max, and guns it. I respond very quickly and we're off! Up to 75 we were dead even, and then I pull away steadily, and am 3 car lengths ahead of him at 110 mph, and at 120 mph he gave up. (do they have a shut off switch in the SHO?) By this time the highway merges back down to one lane in each direction, and I give a quick flash of the blinker lights, as kind of a celebration. He was pissed! The traffic was getting heavier, and so he decides to pass about 5 cars in a row, endangering himself and other drivers. Very sore looser. I enjoyed the race, but I don't think he did quite as well. Thanks for reading.

While I was stationed in MS, I knew a guy who had one of the last generation SHO's with the manual transmission.. On a trip New Orleans we got that badboy up to about 140. Either the guy wasn't really racing or he had something wrong with his car... I don't think they have a governor installed.. anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
