I know that this has been the topic of discussion many a time, but I'm still somewhat in da' dark about what bulbs to buy. I had the "blue" ones in my pathfinder and hated them visibility wise, and now in the max I'm looking for something brighter, but I heard the PIAA's aren't really worth it! Also, I need to replace my freaking light housings, from a couple of fender benders...

Currently, I have PIAAs for my headlights and they are not too bad unless I have my GTS headlight blackout on. Then they are dulled.

Brands I would consider other than PIAA are Polarg and Hiper. In fact, I am considering those two brands for my side markers, back up lights, interior lights, and turn signals.

i think the stock head light bulbs for the 3rd gen max are 45 watts, i bought hyper whites that are 80 something watts and they have a nice blue tint. now i switched to the 100 watt hyper whites and they are hella bright. and no problems with fuses, alternator, and circutry either.

my friend had high wattage 9004's 80/100 in a 91max and he burnt one of the wiring harnesses. personally I have the Piaa's, they work fine and the high beams rock 55/65 wattage.

So if you wanna go high wattage I sujest you go with a harness upgrade.
