Remove 90 max axels
Remove 90 max axels
I am trying to change the boots on both sides, and I have everything loose and now need to separate the axles from the transmission. On the passenger side, there is a support bracket. Do I pull the axle from that, or must the brace be removed. I don't know if I can get to the bolts without removing the engine brace and motor mounts. The book is not clear on the removal. It says "pry loose from the transmission", does that mean (passenger side) the entire axle will come through this brace? On the driver side, do I just force it out, and will I damage anything when I do. I will appreciate any help you can furnish. If you don't know the answer, do you know where I can find it? Thanks for any advice.
just yank. i'm pretty sure it will come through the bracket, if it doesnt then you need to unbolt it, but i did mine a while ago so i dont rememeber. the drivers side just pulls out. make sure you put an oil pan underneath, youll lose about a quart of oil
