Partial Newbie:needs advice

Last friday i turned sixteen and bought a 92 Black SE 5-speed with Tan leather.
MY VERY FIRST CAR!!! My sister had an 89 gxe that i put a high flow intake on and put a system in (which will be transfered to mine) but now that i got my own i need to know what i should do with it! I really want to car to look great before i get it to run 13's it has 122,000 miles on it so the paint isnt not too bad but im thinkin about adding 1 or 2 more clearcoats to really make it shine! does that sound retarded?? ive got the clear corners and im giving serious consideration into buying moda R6's 17x7.5 does anyone have these or know if there would be any rubbing problems?? Also i want to do a wood dash kit and a short throw! Anybody know where to get a short throw or can i just hack off 4" of the shifter? Im looking for idea's i want an awesome looking Black Maxima! and my budget is about $2000 for the summer! Plus my drivers seat is in pretty tough condition not terrible but not great is it possible to switch the passenger and driver's seat so i can kinda even things out or how much would it cost to re-cover the seats or mabey even go corbeau?? basically i've got 2g's, a body shop, and an entire summer and a externally stock maxima! Tell me what to do with it!
(p.s. i also want to be able to hold my own in a few races so cheap mod ideas would be helpful)

no rub on 17"s check my 18"s, no you cant hack off 4" of your shifter, you cant change the seats because of the recliner and all that sh*t, corbeaus-good luck, get some katskinz leather covers, other than that man good luck, check my max and others for any other ideas and welcome to the ''club''. oh and 1 more thing, dont let the older guys push you around, you are young and inexperienced, dont hesitate asking questions, thats the only way to learn. good luck

Not much of a budget, but if you want to do 13s then screw all that stereo **** cause it adds weight and weight is the enemy of speed.
Less weight= faster car
